Residential roofing services focus on individual homes, providing new roof installation, replacement, repair, and maintenance to protect the home and enhance its curb appeal.
Commercial roofing services cater to businesses and larger buildings. They involve installation, repair, and maintenance of typically flat or low-slope roofs using specialized materials like TPO, EPDM, or built-up roofing.
Typically made of clay or ceramic, this material is in the mid-range in terms of cost. Often seen on estate homes. They are remarkably low-maintenance, resisting curling, fading, cracking, and mold.
The most common and affordable option, available in a variety of colors. They offer a cost-effective and versatile roofing solution that's also easy to install and repair.
Available as metal shingles or sheets, this type of roof is often considered the most durable, but comes at a higher cost. People choose metal shingles for their superior resistance to weather and fire.
Once it has been decided that a new roof is necessary, the first step is to remove all of the old roofing materials. The process involves removing shingles, gutters, flashing, and tar, just to name a few components. Also, the collection and disposal of all old materials is required.
A solid base is crucial for the proper installation of roofing materials. If a roof is damaged by weather or debris , it's possible that the decking sustained damage as well. Soft and rotting wood is also common, so any compromised sheets need to be replaced.
Additional steps involved in preparing the roof surface:
Drip Edge – Non-corrosive metal strips used to prevent water from damaging the wood decking.
Underlayment – A water-resistant material placed between the decking and roofing materials. This prevents water from seeping into the decking and causing damage to the roof surface.
At this point, the new roofing materials are finally installed onto the roof surface. The amount of time for each installation varies based on the type of roofing materials being used.
Special caps need to be placed at the peak(s) of the roof, and materials will have to be cut with care in the valleys and over/around dormers.
Once the roofing materials have been installed, sthe crew will clean up any leftover debris from the installation. An inspector will then perform a detailed review of the newly installed roof to ensure no mistakes were made and that the roofing materials will preform properly.
